“If you only walk on sunny days, you will never reach destination.” – Paolo Coelho
I am an unusual one. I enjoy walking in the rain. Probably a little more than is normal. I find it refreshing and freeing as long as there isn’t a major thunderstorm brewing near my home. (Al has an entirely different opinion and hates to even consider being bothered by going out in the rain to perform his duties.)
This quote struck a chord in me though as I recuperated from yesterday and put my feet back underneath me today. I realized I had to push through to get back towards my destination…
Tomorrow plans to enjoy the sunny day were suddenly changed by real life needs and commitments. But in order to meet those commitments I must be focused and functioning way better than yesterday.
Even if it means crying a little bit while on my way through the day…I’m back to the verse in Timothy…I have not called you to a spirit of timidity, but one of power, love and self-discipline. (Paraphrasing mine.)
